Arizona Senate Passes Castle Doctrine 30-0

doing the jobWhile politicians in Illinois and other blue states press to keep guns out of the hands of the law-abiding, other states are moving to improve Second Amendment rights. Here in Arizona, SB 1469 passed unanimously.

This is very important for Arizona’s citizens since there is still a high level of illegal alien activity in our state due to the Obamination’s lack of immigration enforcement and their lawsuit suspending SB 1070, the anti-illegal alien law, in federal court.

Via NRA-ILA:

Yesterday, Senate Bill 1469 passed in the Senate by a unanimous 30 to 0 vote. Now referred to the House Judiciary Committee, SB 1469 would specifically strengthen the current “Castle Doctrine” self-defense legislation by broadening the allowance for the use of force, including deadly force, to provide greater protection for those forced to defend themselves from an attacker.

More on The U-Haul® Migration Theory

haul.pngA while back, I wrote a post on the other blog about the U-Haul® Migration Theory. I posted yesterday about staging the items that need to go to Arizona this weekend. Today, I signed up for a 5×8 U-Haul® trailer to transport this stuff. Here is a paragraph from that other post that compares the one way rental in both directions:

I remember someone blogging about U-Haul® being a good indicator for migratory trends. Because of the law of supply and demand, it should be less expensive to rent a one-way trailer (or truck) in the direction that is less popular. Sure enough, when I reversed the route on the website, the rate dropped from $101 to $67 for the three day period to go from Wickenburg to the L.A. area.

The same drop in price seems to hold for the larger trailer we’re renting this time. The cost to drop off the trailer in Wickenburg is $133 while the cost to drop off in the L.A. area is $98. It appears that the Migration Theory is still testing positive. It looks like more are fleeing California than are eager to come in (aside from illegal aliens of course).

LAPD’s Most Wanted

Do you suppose that the unchecked illegal alien influx into Southern California has anything to do with the following graph of LAPD’s 206 most wanted criminals?

la-most-wanted.png

Chart statistics taken from Los Angeles Police Department’s MOST WANTED database.

There has been no mention in any of the mainstream media in L.A. of the obviously lopsided statistical data. Are they intentionally concealing the data? They seem to go out of their way to avoid reporting surnames of criminals.

I’m just reporting the numbers here. If you have a problem with it then refer to the political correctness warning in the sidebar and the disclaimer on the ABOUT page.

SB 1070 Injunction Hearing

doing the jobWith all the post election day coverage, the hearing of SB 1070 (the Arizona Immigration Law) arguments by the Ninth Circuit Court went virtually unnoticed by the media.

In addition to ignoring this landmark case, the media covered very little of Jan Brewer’s campaign for reelection. It’s like the media morons think that hiding from the issues will make them go away or something.

Statement by Arizona Governor Jan Brewer:

PHOENIX [November 1, 2010] – “Today the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal’s heard arguments regarding the State of Arizona’s request to lift the injunction put in place by the federal district court in July regarding enforcement SB 1070.

“My counsel, John Bouma, argued that this case is about what a state – any state – can do about a failed federal immigration system that even President Obama acknowledges is broken. There are very serious crimes associated with this failure, including human smuggling, drug trafficking and other activities involving coyotes in Arizona, as acknowledged by Judge Bolton. Arizona is on the front line in a fight against crime that is spilling over the international border. As noted in the court record, the federal government has essentially had to cede a vast territory inside the State of Arizona to the drug runners and human smugglers.

“With a federal government that cannot or will not do its job, Arizona determined that Arizona law enforcement officers would assist in the enforcement of federal immigration laws to the full extent permitted by federal law. The District Court applied the wrong legal standard of review and issued a preliminary injunction that preserves the status quo – a status quo that is unacceptable to the people lawfully present in Arizona, many whose lives are affected on a daily basis.

Although the judges asked challenging questions of both sides during this morning’s hearing, we are hopeful that after carefully considering the arguments, the Ninth Circuit will lift the stay and allow SB 1070 to be enforced. The health, welfare and safety of the citizens of Arizona are irreparably harmed every day the courts allow SB 1070 to be put on hold and the federal government refuses to enforce all immigration laws.”

Emphasis added.

International Interference in Internal Issues

Mexico and these other countries have everything to gain from defeating SB 1070. If the law is upheld, these countries would lose the income sent to their countries by illegal aliens in Arizona. That’s BILLIONS of US dollars a year!

Watch the video to see what these disgusting nations are up to - WITHOUT ANY ACTION FROM THE OBAMINATION!!

Dispelling Arizona Immigration Myths - Part 10

doing the jobThis is the final post in the series of ten articles intended to dispel misinformation generated by illegal aliens and open-borders liberals about SB 1070, the new immigration law in Arizona. This canard is analogous to traffic violators being ticketed to use the stupid ‘cops should be catching criminals’ routine. The law is the law, idiots . . .

MYTH: S.B. 1070 does nothing to address the “real” public safety threats to Arizona border violence, drug cartels and human smuggling.

FACT: S.B. 1070 is not intended to be the single solution to Arizona’s extraordinary illegal immigration problems.Just as the demand in the United States for illegal drugs fuels the drug traffic, the demand and tolerance of persons who are not authorized to be in Arizona fuels, in part, the human smuggling traffic. Along with many other existing provisions of Arizona law, S.B. 1070 will serve as the best Arizona can do until the federal government fully secures our border and restores integrity to our immigration system. These other existing statutes include the toughest employer sanctions law in the nation (including the mandatory use of E-Verify) and refusal to provide any public benefits to unauthorized aliens.

I like the comparison between illegal alien tolerance and drug use. Both are dangerous and do much damage to our country. Shame on the Obamination and all previous administrations for sinking the country into our current state of illegal alien chaos.

Dispelling Arizona Immigration Myths - Part 9

doing the jobThis is the ninth in a series of ten articles intended to dispel misinformation generated by illegal aliens and open-borders liberals about SB 1070, the new immigration law in Arizona. The myth discussed here once again invokes the goose-stepping moron card:

MYTH: S.B. 1070 authorizes Nazi-like requirements for aliens to carry their “papers”.

FACT: Federal law already requires aliens to register with the federal government and carry their documentation (e.g., “green card”) pursuant to 8 United States Code §§ 1304(e) and 1306(a). A violation of these laws is a federal misdemeanor. S.B. 1070 makes this a concurrent state misdemeanor by mirroring these same sections of federal law. “In addition to any violation of federal law, a person is guilty of willful failure to complete or carry an alien registration document if the person is in violation of 8 United States Code Section 1304(e) or 1306(a).” A.R.S. § 13-1509(A). These federal requirements have been in place for decades.

When I read SB 1070, I could clearly see references to Federal law throughout the document. The Obamination’s refusal to enforce Federal laws left Arizona no choice but to draft a law that would allow Arizona Law Enforcement to get the job done.

Dispelling Arizona Immigration Myths - Part 8

doing the jobThis is the eighth of a series of ten articles intended to dispel misinformation generated by illegal aliens and open-borders liberals about SB 1070, the new immigration law in Arizona. I’ll start this one out with a quote from Ben Stein:

Fathom the odd hypocrisy that Obama wants every citizen to prove they are insured, but people don’t have to prove they are citizens.

MYTH: S.B. 1070 may compel local police to ignore more serious crimes because they will be required to enforce federal immigration laws to the “full extent permitted by federal law.”

FACT: Police officers are only required to determine a person’s immigration status “when practicable.” A.R.S. § 11-1051(B). Individual police officers are not required to enforce federal immigration laws to the “full extent permitted by the law.” This provision solely applies to a law enforcement “official or agency” and not to individual police officers. A.R.S. § 11-1051(A). S.B. 1070 prohibits law enforcement officials and agencies from limiting or restricting the enforcement of federal immigration laws to less than the full extent permitted by federal law by adopting so-called “sanctuary city” policies. A.R.S. § 11-1051(A).

Arizona needs this law because of the hypocrisy of the Obamination, who will shove unnecessary spending and unwanted social programs down our collective throats, but will completely ignore their responsibility to protect the citizens from foreign enemies.
