Attempted Burglary at California Gun Shop

Why didn’t these idiots just go to BATFE instead of destroying private property? I’m sure that in a border state like Kalifornistan, they would be happy to run a few more guns out on the streets.

From The South Bay Daily Disease Breeze . . .

van-crash.JPGCERRITOS - Someone slammed a Chevrolet van into a Cerritos gun store today in what sheriff’s investigators called an unsuccessful attempt to steal firearms from the shop.

Sheriff’s deputies were called to the Ammo Bros. store at 15979 Piuma Ave. at 4:40 a.m., and found a blue and white 1984 van crashed into the front doors of the shop. The crash, however, didn’t cause enough damage to the gated front entrance allow the suspects inside the store, according to the Sheriff’s Department.

“Due to the nature of the crime, where the suspects were presumably targeting firearms, detectives are actively investigating the incident,” said Los Angeles Sheriff’s Lt. Richard Harpham.

Detectives were searching for two or three male suspects. Sheriff’s officials said a gray sedan and champagne-colored Ford Excursion may have been used as getaway vehicles.

“Build The Fence” Off To An Excellent Start

AZIn only a week, Arizona’s Build The Fence collected over $100,000 to build a border fence. Remarkably, donations have come from all 50 states.

This excerpt is from an article published today in a west valley newspaper:

A fundraising website launched by the state of Arizona to build more fencing along the U.S.-Mexico border brought in more than $100,000 in donations in its first week of operation.

State Sen. Steve Smith, sponsor of the law authorizing the fence, said the total doesn’t include checks that have come in the mail. The Republican from the community of Maricopa gave a fundraising update Wednesday to a legislative committee focusing on border security.

He said people from 50 states made donations on the day the website launched and that level of activity shows that people recognize the porous southern border is a national problem, not just Arizona’s.

Build the Fence - You Can Help

Now, this is something we’re going to get behind. From the recently established website BuildTheBorderFence.com:

AZYour Help Is Needed

One of the gravest threats facing America today is the lack of security and enforcement along the U.S. and Mexican border. The consequences of this lack of security have yielded an unparalleled invasion of drug cartels, violent gangs, an estimated 20 million illegal aliens, and even terrorists.

Because of the Federal Government’s failure to stop this invasion, the State of Arizona signed into law SB 1406. Part of this important legislation established this website for the purpose of raising funds through donations from private citizens, businesses, and corporations across the country in an effort to finance and finish building our border fence. One hundred percent of the funds raised will be held in a trust fund account in the Arizona State Treasurer’s Office. The bill also created the Joint Border Security Advisory Committee for oversight and accountability of these funds. Additionally, in an effort to contain costs, inmate labor will be utilized in building the border fence.

As of the effective date of this bill, July 20, 2011, approximately 685 miles of the nearly 2,000 mile long border is “fenced.” The vast majority of this existing “fence” however, consists of barbed-wire, vehicle barriers, and inadequate materials that have minimal effectiveness in stopping illegal crossings. The remaining 1,315 miles of the border currently have no fencing at all.

Despite what President Barack Obama stated in his speech on May 10, 2011, that “The (border) fence is now basically complete,” it is not. But with your help it can be very soon.

This excerpt is from an article published today in a west valley newspaper:

Arizona launched a fundraising website Wednesday as the first step in a newly authorized project to use private donations and inmate labor to build fencing along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The website, buildtheborderfence.com, received 725 online donations totaling $31,295 within its first 14 hours, said Arizona Senate spokesman Mike Philipsen.

Initial online donations ranged from the minimum of $5 to “dozens in the $250 to $500 range,” Philipsen said. Contributions also can be mailed.

Sen. Steve Smith, a first-term Maricopa Republican who sponsored the legislation authorizing the fence project, said Tuesday that his initial goal is to raise $50 million.

“It’s not my end goal,” he said. “If we can raise $50 million, we’re off to a fabulous start.”

Smith said he was optimistic about the fundraising potential because people have donated nearly $3.8 million to a fund to defend the state’s 2010 immigration enforcement law known as SB1070.

That effort raised money for “an intangible service — you’re paying for a lawyer,” Smith said. “This, you can taste and smell what you’re getting — you’re paying for a secure border.”

One Year Ago

Only a year ago, we were still struggling with the bank to get our funds in place to build a new house. At the same time, Sheriff Joe added this nice piece to his arsenal in Maricopa County, AZ. Re-posted from July 19, 2010 . . .

a-gun.jpgJoe Arpaio, the Maricopa County Sheriff (where we’re building our new home), has instituted a program of matching or even trumping the types of arms being used by criminal alien gangs.

The machine gun in the clickable image to the right, appears to be a Browning M2 .50 caliber machine gun, one of the more famous designs of Saint John Moses Browning, designed towards the end of WW1. It can project lead accurately up to a distance of over a mile. Arpaio conducted a sweep of a drug cartel infested area last Thursday aimed at putting down the operations in the Vekol Valley.

“I want to send a message to these criminal traffickers that we will not be intimidated by reports claiming that traffickers are better equipped than our law enforcement officers […] we have the machine guns too and we will not hesitate to use them if the situation calls for it.”

“If anyone shoots at our deputies, they are going to have a problem,” said Arpaio in a news conference in the minutes prior to the sweep.

The Better Half and I like our Sheriff’s attitude - and his arsenal.

SCOTUS Upholds Arizona Immigrant Worker Law

AZThe Supreme Court of the United States upheld Arizona’s law punishing businesses that hire illegal aliens. They voted 5-3 to reject arguments that states have no authority in immigration matters. Breyer, Ginsburg and Sotomayor (the usual left-wing communist justices) dissented on the decision. Justice Elena Kagan, another communist, would have also dissented, but she had to recuse herself because she worked on the case as the Obamination’s solicitor general.

Fox News posted the Associated Press article that detailed the court’s decision. In the article, they published a rather uncomplimentary photograph of Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, which is a non-sequitur since it was then Governor Nappy Incompetano and not Brewer who signed the law into effect in 2007. Brewer is not once mentioned in the AP article. This s typical of the media smearing a politician with whom they disagree.

All that aside, the SCOTUS decision to allow Arizona to regulate immigration matters shows promise that Arizona’s SB 1070 immigration law may be upheld at the SCOTUS level unless the Obamination has an opportunity to further stack the court with communist justices (God forbid).

Nappy Incompitano

Homeland Security will enforce immigration laws - well, maybe except for some or all of them so the agency can concentrate on “extremism” . . .

nappy.jpg

From The Patriot Post:

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano has indicated that the administration will be enforcing immigration law as if the stalled DREAM Act were actually passed. Specifically, the Obama administration will not deport illegal-alien students who would have been covered by the law’s provisions. “I will say, and can say, that you know what? They are not, that group, if they truly meet all those criteria, and we see very few of them actually in the immigration system, if they truly meet those [criteria], they’re not the priority,” the secretary babbled. “The reason we set priorities is so that the focus could be on those in the country who are also committing other illegal acts.”

We understand that not every law is going to be enforced 100 percent of the time — perfection is not for mere mortals — but the administration is acting as if a law that hasn’t passed actually has been passed in order to avoid enforcing laws already on the books that the administration doesn’t favor. To add insult to injury, Napolitano is declaring these priorities at the same time she’s touting the border as being secure. Nothing to see here, folks. Move along.

Prof. Terry Lovell on Obamination Attack on U.S.

If you do nothing else today, be sure and listen to Dr. Lovell’s message on Arizona’s SB-1070 immigration enforcement law. This isn’t just about Arizona, it’s about the entire country vs. Mexican Cartels. Plain and simple language on SB-1070.

The Flood Continues

aliens.jpgOnce you remove all the spin from this AP Article, you get this story.

The U.S. Border Patrol says agents caught 91 illegal aliens in the desert near Ajo. They caught these criminals last Tuesday. Apprehended were 90 men and one woman and they were all Mexican nationals.

The Border Patrol caught another 76 illegal aliens, 71 men and five women, last Saturday in a remote desert area near Ajo.

That is 167 illegal aliens entering Arizona that were caught by the Border Patrol in just three days. Even if the BP were to have a fifty percent apprehension rate in Arizona (and I don’t think they do), there would be 167 more that slipped through. That’s roughly 56 per day, almost four hundred per week and 1700 per month. Over 20,000 illegals per year could be entering Arizona alone, not to mention the other border states.

Keep in mind that I’m just postulating the 50% capture rate number and it could be a lot worse. The Obamination and Holder’s DOJ should just back off with their insane lawsuit and let the Arizona SB 1070 law go into effect. Associated Press and the other spin media should report the reality of the illegal alien problem.
