Radio Flyer

radio-flyer.jpg

I had a Radio Flyer when I was a kid but I don’t remember a cab or a tailgate. The owner of this Chevy pickup had the clever idea to associate it’s red color with the famous toy wagon makers. Clickable image - taken by The Better Half in Kingman, AZ.

American Muscle Car

Spotted today in Lake Havasu City, AZ - a seventies all American muscle car. This Super Sport sounded and looked just as good as the day it rolled off the line. Bright red, with shiny chrome. The American Flag Arizona tags read “USMUSSL.” Very pretty. Clickable image taken by The Better Half.

Along the Mother Road

We’re in Kingman, AZ tonight. Today, The Better Half caught this eclectic collection of motorized vehicles parked near Interstate 40, not far from Historic Route 66. And Right in the middle of the scene, the Mother of all Motorized Mechanizations - a classic Ford Model T. Clickable image.

Psycho Billy Cadillac

Anybody remember the old Johnny Cash tune?

This is a ‘57 or ‘58 I expect. Hard to tell with the “I want attention” paint and accessory scheme . . .

Another Classic ‘48 Chevy

I posted a photo of a ‘48 Chevy coupe a while back. This is its 4-door counterpart and this one is just as sharp, and is for sale for a mere twenty-five grand.

Shiny T Bucket

The Better Half took this clickable image of a hot rod that passed us today while we were out among ‘em. Shiny, shiny.

Cherry Red ‘57 Chevrolet Convertible

Cherry

The Better Half took this photo yesterday just as we finished loading groceries into the truck. The young man driving had his radio up loud enough that we could hear the Bobby Darin version of Mack the Knife. Seeing this car and hearing that song definitely induced a nostalgic moment. High Desert Hippie

We’re on a little sight-seeing trip for a couple of days. The Better Half snapped this photo of a late-sixties or early-seventies VW Bus with doo-dads reminiscent of the hip-generation. I have to agree with Eric Cartman when he says “Goddamn stinkin’ hippies - I hate ‘em!” Clickable image . . .
