I’m just a humble, patriotic, freedom-loving, troop-supporting, law-abiding, gun-toting curmudgeon. I paid my way through life by applying myself to the tasks at hand and expect other able-bodied and/or clear-minded persons to do the same. No entitlements for loafers and malingerers!
The Better Half and I share the same political views and our enthusiasm for firearms and RKBA. She is an outstanding amateur photographer and many of the visuals on this site are courtesy of her and her trusty Canon XTi. TBH is also an excellent cook, much to my delight.
While we don’t go out of our way to be profane or to post gross and graphic topics, we can and will occasionally use adult language and discuss topics not suitable for children under 17.
Political Correctness (PC) is nothing more than an attack against individual right of expression and free speech. PC is a blatant assault on the First Amendment to the Constitution, by the same progressives that assault the Second Amendment.
There is an annual contest at Texas A&M University calling for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term. A recent year’s term was “Political Correctness.”
The winner wrote:
“Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of shit by the clean end.”
ABOUT “SI VIS PACEM, PARA BELLUM”
This Latin phrase was taken from writings by Roman military author Publius Flavius Vegetius Renatus. It means “IF YOU SEEK PEACE, PREPARE FOR WAR.”
The German arms manufacturer, Luger, used the phrase during the early 20th Century as their motto. Luger 9×19mm ammunition is still referred to as “Parabellum.” The phrase was also used by the title character in “The Punisher.”
