The Better Half and I took the dogs to Wickenburg Dog Park today. The dog park is adjacent to the municipal airport. In the airport’s tee hangar area, I spotted this very nice Cessna 180 on the other side of the chain link fence. I stuck the little camera lens through the links and got this nice (clickable) image.
According to FAA records, this plane was manufactured in 1965 and is dual registered to here and a place in Montana. I expect the owner is not one of the thousands of flightless snowbirds currently in town.
Having retired from flying over ten years ago, I seldom miss piloting until I imagine myself making nice three-point landings in one of these.
