border.jpgRather than sending in 524 National Guard to the border, the Obamination will only engage the border with a photo op for Arizona Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Terry Goddard.

Despite having recently received a vote of no confidence by his workers, Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director John Morton will be accompanying Goddard to the border.

This is just another sham. The DOJ, ICE and Homeland Security have all fallen on their asses under the Obamination. Instead of enforcing immigration laws to keep America safe, they are suing Arizona and two border county sheriffs.

From Border Sheriffs:

Dear friends,

I have some disturbing news to share with you.

You already know that the ACLU and the federal government are suing Arizona sheriffs Paul Babeu and Larry Dever to stop them from enforcing Arizona law 1070.

You already know that the federal government has gotten an injunction to stop the key parts of the law from taking effect. You should know that the sheriffs and our legal team are hard at work at overturning that court ruling and restoring the sheriffs ability to enforce the law.

What you may not know - and this is the disturbing part - is that rather than delivering the promised national guard troops to defend the border, instead the Obama administration is delivering a “photo-op.”

The Obama Administration yesterday announced that Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director John Morton will be traveling to the Arizona border tomorrow, along with Democrat Gubernatorial hopeful and current Attorney General Terry Goddard.

“This latest political stunt by the Obama Administration to cover up its inaction in protecting our borders is pathetic,” said Sheriffs Babeu and Dever. “The Administration blew past their promised August 1st deadline to send 524 National Guard troops to Arizona, and now they are trying to appear concerned by sending the ICE director who recently received a vote of ‘no confidence’ by ICE’s union.

“Why doesn’t the President and Homeland Security Secretary and former Arizona Governor Janet Napolitano visit the border themselves,” asked Sheriffs Babeu and Dever. “While he may be on vacation or fundraising, we in Cochise and Pinal Counties cannot take a vacation from the hundreds of thousands of illegals that continue to break our laws each day and threaten the safety and security of our residents.

“As hidden camera footage from the border has shown,” Sheriff Babeu continued, “illegal immigrants coming across the border are skirting our laws and placing our deputies in harms’ way. It seems as though the Administration’s standard procedure is to slap us with a lawsuit and delay help when we ask them to do their job.”

Friends, we need your help to restore the rule of law and security of our border. We need to give sheriffs like Larry Dever and Pul Babeu the support and tools they need to do their job. The first step in that process is to win their lawsuit. As much as it pains me to say it, we have to get the federal government and the ACLU out of their way.

There are three things you could do today to help us at the Legacy Foundation defend Sheriff Dever and Sheriff Babeu:

- First, please consider making a donation to their legal defense at http://www.bordersheriffs.com. We simply cannot mount the kind of legal defense they need against the federal government without your help.

- Second, please forward this email to other friends who share our belief in the rule of law, and concern for our nation’s security.

- Third, show your support for the Sheriffs by displaying this badge on your facebook page or website.
