I use a Flash™ animation tool from time to time to produce some of the animated graphics used on this site. A couple of my countdown graphics have been about 30 days off since I put them up last December. The reason for this is due to a quirk in the scripting language for DATE objects. That is, the baseline for the MONTH descriptor is zero and not one, as I assumed incorrectly.

I fixed the scripts that appear in the sidebar under EXPIRATION and on the ABOUT page under TERMINUS OBAMINUM. The bad news is that it’s been wrong for seven months. The good news is that the fix took 31 days off of the Obamination’s time left.

Update: By the way, if you don’t enable JavaScript, the animations cannot be seen.
