Classic Machine Gun - Browning 1919A4
1919A4 on an M2 tripod with ammo can and belted ammunition. The tripod could be folded into a very slim package. Wouldn’t you just love to shoot the whole nine yards through this beauty?

They wouldn’t let me near it.
I’d be drooling so much I’d rust it!

Fire a few rounds and the drool will sizzle away - no problem.
Saw your new toy. I was going to leave a comment but blog spot seemed to be acting weird earlier today.

A couple guys in my club have semi-auto versions. We can’t link more than 9-rounds together here in CA but that is almost enough to try and walk bullets onto the target at 200-yards. They take some getting used-to.
Frankly the shooters look very awkward trying to lean forward and aim them. The sight radius is pretty short. Once fired they move around, tripod and all, even after a single shot - and it’s hard to hit the 200-yard gong - something fairly easily done with the Garand.

Awkward, maybe. I would still like to try and hit the gong, the consolation being the 500 rounds per minute rush.

*sigh* We gotta go to Nevada or somewhere else for a one-minute rush that costs about as much as a ride in a B-17!
