Correlation - Brady Rating to Violent Crime Rate
This picture is worth more than a measly thousand words. Astounding correlation between gun laws and violent crime rate. From the CALGUNS forum via Uncle.
The Green line indicates # of violent crimes per 2,000,000 people (higher number = higher crime rate). The Blue line indicates Brady Bunch state rating (higher number = more gun control). Clickable Image.
California violence is only exceeded by that in Washington, D.C.

You’re preaching to the choir!

Maybe, but it’s a handy graphic to show around to non-shooters to prove one’s point about the subject.

Exactly. I just can’t believe these morons cannot see the correlation. They prefer us to call 911, and as several Police have told me (and it surprised me) “When seconds count, we’re only minutes away!”.

I posted some typical 911 response times in Why Carry a Gun? Some cities times are really dismal.
I tell people “try holding your breath for the five minutes that it will take the cops to respond.”

Great way to put it. I’ll member that next time.
My favorite answer to “Why do you carry a gun?” is “Because a whole Cop is too heavy!”.
