A Historical Progression

According to columnist Charles Krauthammer:

[Vice President Joe Biden] is the man who, perhaps without intending, has given historical context to this presidency. After all, Obama sees himself as a successor to FDR and Truman, so now we have the historical procession: the New Deal, the Square Deal, and the Big [expletive] Deal. It would make a great T-shirt.

Anything you say, Charles. Here’s my attempt at a realization:

Regarding Healthcare and Liberty

This is an important 7½ minute message from Judge Andrew Napolitano . . .

“Medicare - broke. Social Security - broke. Medicaid - broke. Amtrak - broke. The U.S.Post Office - broke. Who in their right mind would give healthcare, with that track record, to the same people who have broken everything they’ve tried to manage?”

High Desert Retreat

As you may have inferred, we went out of town for a few days to relax and enjoy Joshua Tree National Park in the California Desert. We did, indeed, relax and enjoy. Part of the pleasure we had could be attributed to the quaint little suites hotel where we spent three nights. I took this shot of the main building and posted it here to give you a feel for what I mean when I say “quaint” - the entire experience made you feel as though you were in an old desert ghost town.

I must say that the Sunnyvale Garden Suites hotel is a unique place to stay. The staff is helpful and friendly and the amenities are on a par with fine resorts.

Beautiful Snow-Capped Mount San Gorgonio

Wind energy might be a “renewable” source of electricity but the scenery certainly suffers from wind turbine obscuration.

No wonder Edward M. “Dead” Kennedy didn’t want to look at these offshore near his Hyannisport mansion. It’s about time the assholes in charge drop the no-nuke chalupa.
