Vintage Fire Engine
A restaurant in the downtown area of our city procured a vintage Chevrolet fire truck and fixed it up. The better half took this picture last year before the decals and detailing were done at a local restoration shop. The name of the restaurant is Buffalo Fire Department.

I couldn’t find a good shot of the post-restoration truck in the archives, but the inset should give you an idea of how the decals look. The restaurant is behind the red façade across the street.

That’s just down the road a piece from my old bachelor apartment. I’d go to Aioli once in a while, but I think they priced themselves out of the market.
“By Brazil” is another excellent restaurant. Just about half way to Carson from the Buffalo Fire Department.

We’ve lived in this same house for over 30 years, about half mile south of there, and have yet to eat at any of the old downtown restaurants, except for La Capilla in the 1990’s where a radio club gathering took place. We’re familiar with all the landmarks, though.

La Capilla is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants.
Man, we were neighbors when I was living at my bachelor pad!

Maybe so. According to the GPS I sit at roughly 33.82N/118.32W.

Yep, I was DM03ut, too. My place was at the corner of Carson and Andreo, one of the apartments over the liquor store.

We just drove by there today after visiting the old post office on Marcelina.

Yeah, I’ve been back to say hi to the landlord and his office manager, and the place just looks soooo empty with all my antennas missing!
