We’re Terminated
Or we’re Californicated as Sebastian puts it. Despite a flood of opposition to AB 962, the Governator just terminated us from buying ANY ammo in Kalifornistan.
Sebastian also speculated that ammo imports by private citizens just might increase from neighboring states. I have personal knowledge that the speculation shall come to pass. I understand also that Cabela’s will refuse to sell ammo to anyone in California (like law enforcement, maybe?) - other ammo vendors/manufacturers need to jump on that bandwagon.
Now, where did I put that list of ammo vendors in Arizona?
Update: A response to the Governator (something other than the tempting response of “FUCK YOU, ASSHOLE!“)

I just ordered some from Cabela’s and Midway. It’ll be interesting to see if they let the order go through, as this POS “legislation” doesn’t take effect until July 2010.

I’m still waiting for CRPA’s response. I presume they are prepared to litigate the matter.

One can only hope that each and every cartridge producer and resaler jumps on the Barrett/Cabela’s bandwagon.

If each and every law enforcement officer (only ones, as Codrea calls ‘em) had to fill out forms and be fingerprinted for their duty ammo, this bullshit would come to a screeching halt. I hope we’re working that angle, too.

CRPA and CalGuns are going to litigate - this thing is (as usual) poorly written - there’s Federal preemption statutes already, and they (CRPA and CalGuns - and NRA in the background) have also been preparing for this. Time for a smackdown.
