crash.jpgI read about a crash at the local airport the other night. The police lieutenant on the scene described the aircraft in terms of a ‘kite,’ but I would submit it’s more like a flying lawn chair. Apparently, the incident happened as a result of a taxiing accident.

Torrance police Lt. David Petersen said the light aircraft, which he described as “a kite with an engine,” crashed shortly after takeoff Thursday night. Petersen says witnesses told police they heard what sounded like engine failure shortly after the aircraft took off. It crashed on the side of the runway.
