Remember Who You Are
I had an appointment with the dentist today. My dentist’s office is in a ‘colorful’ part of town, known to be frequented by the homeless and largely populated by aging hippies.
I passed a residence with a mural on the wall - it had a caption that said “Remember who you are.”
So, I remembered who I am and thought “I wonder if the hippie that painted the mural remembers who HE is through the substance abuse haze.”

The beauty of LSD is its remarkable ability to channel new thoughtways and create new neural networks - and help people who are frozen in immobility to get out of linear thinking - as was initially the intent of Richard Alpert who pioneered studies in a clinical setting with Schizophrenics. The problem is he overcame himself in the process of enjoying the drug and became Baba Ram Das - and lost his mind, all the while speaking of “mindfulness.” Well there goes that Harvard education down the toilet.

Interesting bit of history, DC.
Having lived through that LSD era here in LALA land, I can appreciate how so many believed enlightenment was possible through chemical abuse.
Time for them to get out the psychedelic Kleenex and blow their minds.
